Dawn went to visit Majestic Meadows in May 2019 with the express purpose of getting some experience delivering crias. Well, did she ever! Dawn spotted Smokin Hot as soon as she arrived that day and thought today was surely going to be a great day as she looked as if she would soon deliver. Soon, Smokin Hot’s cria was on the ground. Dawn dried her off and showed her much love and attention. Jokingly Dawn mentioned that they should call her “A New Dawn.” And much to her surprise, they did. Of course, she had to come to our farm after a story like that. And…we are so entirely thrilled that she did. A New Dawn – or “Li’l D” as we affectionately call her is absolutely spectacular! She has it all – density, crimp, staple length, extreme brightness! At her first and only show in the spring of 2020, she took home 2 championship banners. In the show ring, she took home 4 Championships.  At the 2021 Illinois Alpaca & Fiber Fest, she was awarded Judge's Choice.  What an honor!  We look forward to seeing her cria.
