Meet the Llama of Eagle Eye Farm

Llamas are part of the camelid family, as are alpacas. They are from South America.  Llamas are known to be friendlier and less skittish than alpacas.  Llamas are about twice the size of alpacas, and can weigh up to 400 pounds.  The ears of llamas are much longer than alpacas.  The llama’s ears stand up straight and are curved, almost like a banana. Llamas also have a longer face vs the more smushed in face of the alpacas.  The fleece of an alpaca is much finer and softer than that of a llama.
