When searching for a friend for Penelope, we stumbled upon Wilbur. Wilbur was born to be a show pig as he is certainly one very handsome fellow with a magnificent ginger color and two very nice waddles. Unfortunately for Wilbur, but fortunate for us, Wilbur was born with a scrotal hernia. So, he had to be castrated, thus ending his show career. He was now going to be a pet pig. This was very fortunate for us. He is the perfect pen mate for Penelope.

In 2021, Wilbur had a dark spot on his skin.  We had it biopsied and it was melanoma.  Good news: in pigs, melanoma can regress...and his did.  But, this led to us thinking that maybe we should get a couple of more pigs in case something ever happened to Wilbur or Penelope as pigs need at least one friend.

Wilbur has such personality!  Everybody that comes to the farm absolutely loves him!
